This policy explains what The Name Notebook (blog.beeboa.com) collects when you visit, and why.
What we collect
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit,
which pages they read, and roughly where in the world they are. Google
Analytics sets cookies and collects information including your IP address (in
truncated form), browser, device type, and the pages you view. We do not use
it to identify you personally.
Server logs. Our web server records requests it receives, including IP
address, timestamp, and the page requested. These logs are used for security
and troubleshooting and are rotated automatically.
Comments and contact. If you write to us, we keep your message and your
email address so we can reply.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for or store payment details. We do not sell personal
information. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them for
analytics, as described above. [[FILL IN: once an advertising network is running
on the site, add a paragraph here naming it and describing its cookies —
leaving this out is a compliance problem, not a formality.]]
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still
work.
Third parties
Google Analytics — see Google’s own privacy policy at
policies.google.com/privacy.
Embedded content. Pages may include embedded content from other sites.
Embedded content behaves as though you had visited that site directly, and
those sites may collect data about you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data
we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Write to
[[FILL IN: a contact address for this site, e.g. [email protected] — do not use a personal inbox you would not want published]] and we will action it.
If you are in the EU or UK, you can also object to processing and lodge a
complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in
California, you may request disclosure or deletion of personal information and
we will not discriminate against you for asking.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top.
